Quick Books became my accounting program of choice for small business and was installing it when the first single user versions came onto the market. I have had experience with every version of Quick Books since and most recently was involved with the Enterprise version with inventory and CRM integrations. I formally trained Quick Books users in a classroom setting but more often setup the program including the first Chart of Accounts and other basic functional elements and then training end users on how to operate the system.
Experience in designing, developing, and implementing the first digital television network in history taught me networking and systems development on the most basic level. I went on to several technical posts in Fortune 100 companies as a contractor. In recent years I have contracted as both consultant and IT manager including designing and implementing topologies, installing and maintaining servers and software systems. I am a power end user in several software categories.

As a founder of a startup company where I eventually became the CEO of a publicly traded company, it became clear to me that accounting is the language of business. Hoping to gain more expertise I worked as the Accounting Manager for a combined grocery store chain, produce warehouse and trucking company for nearly two years, uncovering key assets to the company’s benefit. I also held the COO post for a post production company, and GM for an independent video production company over a combined four year period. I joined a bookkeeping firm specializing in film and video as a partner and continued on in solo business consulting, technical financial and bookkeeping services.
